Data Deletion Instructions

Use this page to request deletion of data connected to Syncbot, including Meta embedded signup, WhatsApp Business integrations, workspace users, contacts, and conversations.

1. Who Can Request Deletion

Workspace owners and authorized admins may request deletion of their Syncbot workspace data. Individual users may request deletion of their user profile. Message recipients and contacts may request deletion through the business that contacted them, or by contacting Syncbot with enough details to route the request.

2. How to Request Deletion

Email privacy@syncbot.cloud with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the relevant details:

  • Workspace name or account email.
  • Phone number, WhatsApp Business Account ID, or Meta Business ID, if applicable.
  • Contact phone number or message details, if you are requesting deletion as a message recipient.
  • Whether you want account deletion, workspace deletion, integration disconnection, contact deletion, or message deletion.

3. Facebook, Meta, and WhatsApp Data

If you connected Syncbot through Meta Embedded Signup, you can also remove Syncbot access from your Meta Business integrations or Business Settings. After disconnection, email us so we can remove related Syncbot connection records, tokens, webhook subscriptions, and workspace references.

Deleting Syncbot data does not automatically delete records held by Meta, WhatsApp, payment providers, or the business that originally collected the contact data.

4. Deletion Timeline

We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within 7 business days and complete eligible deletion within 30 days, unless a longer period is required for verification, legal obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security, billing, backups, or technical constraints.

5. Retention Exceptions

We may retain limited information where required for tax, legal, billing, abuse prevention, audit logs, security investigations, compliance with Meta platform requirements, or enforcing our Terms of Service. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.
